It is unclear how Broome selected KMT to be the developer for the project.

I will try to explain in KMT speak:

They used a wholeistic process with the specific-intent of selecting devested developers to develop equitable with the people they seek to serve. Broome puts the people first!

Just give us St George and I'll turn a blind eye to this kind of bullshite. Let BR just BR itself into oblivion for all I care. I want the city I was promised, voted for and won.

He ran for state legislature and lost, then ran for the US House and lost, and now is running for US Senate. You would think taking all those L's he would step back and try to win a seat on the Metro Council or school board. Once Kennedy trounces him, he'll try to run for POTUS. Who are the people so eager to piss away their money on this waste of air?

You realize he's running just for the money, right? It's his only income.

Explain this to me like I am 5 please

They want to invest in an area that no one else wants to invest in because the people of the area will fricking destroy it. But let's use taxpayer money, not private funding, to revitalize an area that will burn it down.

The money was given to the parish. It’s an ethics issue.

SG should be up and running by now if elections matter like they say they do, The politician that wants to give away 6 million dollars to a developer with almost no track record is the same politician that blocked SG. We are in s big mess on all fronts because of her and her ilk and despite our efforts to help ourselves they won’t let us.

His plan isn’t to win anything, it’s to collect campaign money and live off it.

Its called money laundering. They give him a few thousand in "contributions", he gives them a couple thousand back in "clean" money.
Rinse and repeat.

36 units?! THIRTY-SIX.

That’s less than one apartment building.

I’m guessing they already know who’s getting those free condos as well (friends and family). This scam has multiple levels. They pick a developer (family friend) who gets paid, he gives them a kickback and then he builds them free houses. All on your dime.

“Moderate-income professionals” sounds like low-level government workers. “Homes for Heroes” okay.

And calling it Onyx Square, isn’t onyx that gemstone that’s color is mostly… nevermind.

It means we are doing this under the guise of equity so we get government hand outs to do business. But we will build cheap homes then never show our faces again.

$6 million to reinvest into real estate in the Scotlandville/Scenic Hwy area? You’ve got to be fricking kidding me

This will turn out to be a colossal waste of tax payer’s money. Once again, SWB turns a blind eye to the violent crime and homicide problem, axes the BRAVE program for this shite

They had to have stolen that from a European design firm. All the cars in the pics have long euro style license plates

And when it falls apart they will blame the white taxpayer for it.

I like too how when you click on 'TEAM' on the website, its just Bradley Brown. Of course, if they listed who all was on the 'team', it would make things a little too obvious....

Go watch the video for Onyx Square - there are multiple signs above the buildings say "TENNANT" and they randomly jammed in a picture of Mumford Stadium.
