It is unclear how Broome selected KMT to be the developer for the project.
KMT was chosen for one reason and one reason only.

I’m educated man, and that’s not even a word as far as I’m aware.
They are trying to say "holistic", but they went to Southern.

Much of that word salad is grammatically challenged. Maybe they had a character limit
Could have saved at least one character if they spelled holistic correctly.

Can we just stop with the naming of these spending bills.

KMT Holdings and Development is a full service Real-Estate development company based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. KMT was founded with specific intent to bring superior upscale affordable housing along with economic empowerment and development to underserved and disinvested communities. Our firm believes in combating systemic disinvestment from a wholistic perspective. We thoroughly understand that Real-Estate Development lacks effectiveness when there is no equitable investment into the people which our developments seek to serve. KMT puts the people first!
Oh thanks for posting this!
Not only is KMT's project portfolio mostly pretend, their own mission statement has more errors than an Advocate article.

A tax break is one thing but giving away 6 million dollars is another.
But Gravy is mad because white friends of Broome get more deals than black friends of Broome. Money follows money.

Perhaps the developer donated to the Cleve Dunn campaign?
Maybe he has the “right” backers?

He ran for state legislature and lost, then ran for the US House and lost, and now is running for US Senate. You would think taking all those L's he would step back and try to win a seat on the Metro Council or school board. Once Kennedy trounces him, he'll try to run for POTUS. Who are the people so eager to piss away their money on this waste of air?

I felt like that was where they were trying to go, but in context, that doesn’t make much sense either.

gravy in a statewide election would be high comedy.

Gravy’s new hustle: running for office so he can live off campaign funds. If he ever gets busted, you know the drill.
