Real life situation with consequences. Guy fired true and got his result. Outstanding work.

Who paid for that one? Who attended? How do you know this one will be the same?

Even when they're moving, with structures in between?

Indeed it was outstanding work and I applaud him for a job well done. All I and others here (who likewise know a thing or two about firearms) are saying is hitting a man from 100 yards with any rifle is not difficult to anyone who knows what they're doing.

Man, you're not following me.

The officer is highly trained for this exact scenario.

I am very happy he performed well and I am doubtful I would do as well.

I also think that anyone that is trained as a SWAT team member would tell you that the shot taken by the officer was not incredibly difficult, as outlined by the OP.

You're yhe shite stain we are referring too. You know it. IRL you're a shite stain.

Why? Because I don't think shooting someone at 100 yards is that difficult. I'm glad the guy did it. The perp needed to be put down, but it's just not a difficult shot. I'm sorry that it offends you. It shouldn't, but whatever.

I'd be very interested to know what type of funeral he has given, who attends, and who pays. I wonder if the media will cover this. It would be very interesting to see how that played out.

Just said in the sticky thread that I hope I can find out where he is buried so I can go piss on his grave.

I don't think anyone was high giving anyone yesterday. Jesus some of you act like LSU beat Alabama. This wasn't a fricking game. He didn't shoot s ten point.

I don't know the facts. But I can only imagine the officer that made the shot did not have a "sniper rifle" as described in the link. He more than likely had an AR that many officers carry. The same gun that Democrats want to ban. A 100 yard is nothing for this gun. And the officer most likely shoots way further than that on a regular basis. Not taking any thing from him and I praise him for his heroism.

I don't know anything about the Dallas shooters funeral. Just as I don't expect to hear anything about the BR shooters funeral.

For someone with even standard BRM training and skills, it's not that difficult. 100 yards is nothing when it comes to rifle fire.

Post up your service records if you're claiming it's "easy". This wasn't the range at Honey Island swamp shooting at metal plates. I'm not saying it'd take the most skilled marksman ever, but the word "easy" takes away from a man that should be praised right now.

No I don't think I will.

And I think the officer should be praised. Just not for making a difficult shot, because he didn't make one. He made a pretty easy shot. He should be praised for having the balls to show up and throw down with an armed killer.

I've killed lots of shite beyond 100 yards in some awkward situations. Couldn't imagine doing it with something that shoots back if I missed though.

Odds SWAT man was using a rem 700 in .308? I'd say about 85%

Hopefully it was a head shot.

Now that would be impressive.

Exactly. The AR is the civilian version of the M-16. To give some perspective of rifle fire ranges, back in the 80's every buck private in the army was expected to be able to engage single man sized targets out to 300 meters with nothing more than a few weeks training and iron sights.
