Fired Taco Bell Exec Benjamin Golden Faces New Charges in Uber Fracas

A Taco Bell executive who lost his job after allegedly beating an Uber driver — an incident caught on video — was slapped Tuesday with further criminal charges that put him at risk of spending up to a year behind bars and paying a $10,000 fine.

Benjamin Golden, 32, who lives in Newport Beach, California, was charged with four misdemeanor counts by the Orange County District Attorney's office on Tuesday, a day after a YouTube video of the Uber car incident went viral.

The DA accused Golden of assault on public transportation property, battery on a public transit employee with injury, assault and battery. Golden originally was charged with misdemeanor assault and public intoxication by Costa Mesa police.

Why not just say he grew up on a plantation and say he called his parent's Maw and Paw while your at it...

Also, it makes me really embarrassed to be from the south with the lame arse punches that pussy was throwing on that messican fella.

Let's see where he went to college...

He was fired only because he was charged.

Don't get me wrong, he is a dickbag. Only fired because it has become a national story.

P sure you can be fired for making your employer look stupid. Or being a douche & making the news for it. Or anything else outside of the scope of discrimination of protected classes.

You missed the best part, OP...

Police records show that Golden was arrested on July 8, 2012, in Louisville, Kentucky, on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

According to a police report obtained by CNBC, Golden had bloodshot eyes and "fumbled through paperwork looking for registration."

"When asked, subject stated that he had come from the Big Bar and had a couple of drinks, stating two," the report said. "When pulled out of car, subject changed story to 'three beers.' "

Golden then failed a field sobriety test, according to the report. He pleaded guilty to the charge a month later and received a sentence of 30 days in jail, 26 days of which were conditionally discharged, according to the Jefferson County Attorney's office, which prosecuted the case.

Golden's license was also suspended for one month, the prosecutor's office said.

Golden's LinkedIn account is no longer available, and his Twitter link was blocked from public sight, but on a cached version of his Twitter page, he describes himself with a simple statement: "Sushi lover. Bourbon drinker. The end."

First off... Louisville? Mehhhhh... Not bad..

And who hasn't fumbled with paper work in the glove box? I mean.. Come the frick on... I do keep both my insurance and registration together in a booklet, but I'm going to have to,"fumble around", with shite till I find it. I love police reports...

And 3O days for fricking DUI? Holy shitburgers...

But only a month suspended license? Yeah, that makes sense, Kentucky.

And who doesn't love sushi and bourbon? This guy should have been in PR instead of marketing... But he does have somewhat close crazy eyes....

I've never understood people who want to fight when they're extremely drunk.

To his credit, he took that mace like a champ.

Wut? He deserves to be fired and kicked in the balls over and over again for a year or two. Dude is a dickbag.

Hope he likes manual labor because he will never have an exec job again.
