I have a reservation for 6 on July 9. My whole group is excited to go. Available reservations are pretty far out, so there's a ton of interest already.

SO you're a swinger? As in "to swing"?

I’m all for Baton Rouge having creative ideas for restaurants. People shitting on this are typically the same ones that say Baton rouge is nothing but chain restaurants, yet only go to chain restaurants.
Spot on. If you want local businesses to be successful, go to local businesses.
I agree too that Landry has "made it" in the restaurant business. However, the restaurant biz he's known for is just another chain restaurant with over 100 locations.
So I'm not going to shite on him for trying this. Like I said, I'll go and make my decision that way. If it's not your cup of tea, don't go (not directed at you, T).

Same crowd that KNEW that Top Golf would never come to Baton Rouge.

THE BAR IS AVAILABLE FOR WALK-IN GUESTS ON A FIRST COME AND LIMITED BASIS.
Aren't most legit "supper clubs" members only?

That drink with the iv bag should be posted to the stupid food subreddit. I hate gimmicky food and drinks like that. Probably $30.

That northerly BR element never shows up on time. A party of 6 means everyone shows up when it’s convenient for them, usually 30 mins after one another.
If there’s required gratuity for a party of 6, the management better be ready for some push back, “we ain’t paying this, what dis added gratuity?”
These people always have to pay with cash when eating out. It’s weird,

Why does this read like a swinger's club description?

But don’t have enough leftover for a tip.

This cracks me up, they act like this joint is in downtown NYC not a field between a bank, a post office branch, and a Sonic
How is that a ring like it’s in nyc? They said there’s a bunch of parking available.

I think the prices and the fact that many can’t pronounce half the menu will keep the degenerates out.

The IV bag drink doesn’t give me the ‘old money’ vibes but maybe that because I don’t have old money. Maybe it’s a tycoon thing and I just don’t understand.
Agreed. The overall premise seems to be to give off a classy old money vibe that people will pay good money to be part of but between the IV bags and the neon pink sign they could have done a little better with the details. Those ruin it for me.

Whole thing seems corny and pretentious
I haven’t heard anyone call anything “gay” in casual conversation in years but I’ve heard about 10 people call Supper Club’s whole fake exclusivity fake Vegas Lounge concept gay since they did their big instagram push last week. Baton Rouge needs a lot of things, but an overpriced fruity Vegas dinner-only douche magnet concept isn’t one of them.
It doesn’t help that they basically copied Ruth Chris’ entire menu aside from a few quirky apps and small plates and a few “””premium””” offerings like “””A5””” Wagyu and select steak cuts, which are probably grotesquely overpriced and not that great of quality. I don’t understand the appeal aside from the weirdo swingers club, and those people are going to be at French Market Bistro on any given night.
I saw an interview where either Brandon Landry or the writer said something about everyone needing to be in a blazer because the “place is supposed to be fun as hell” and “we don’t need anyone killing the vibe”

In all seriousness, I’ve been told the menu has Japanese Wagyu beef. That’s pretty awesome if so..
I’ve never seen a restaurant in the United States, much less BR, have real deal highly marbled A5 wagyu like you’d see in Japan, so don’t get your hopes up. I’ve been to some nice steakhouses in NYC, Dallas, and Atlanta, and I’ve paid $50-100 an ounce for “wagyu” from “so and so prefecture, Kobe, Japan” on several occasions only to get something with basically zero visible marbling. I’m convinced that it’s not attainable in the USA or restauranteurs are getting screwed and passing it along to the consumer
