Super cheap Tickets off stubhub

There is a local concert that started at 8pm tonight (it's now 8:20) and up until 7:45 or so stubhub was selling tickets. The show was $100, been sold out for months. Stubhub has had tickets all this time but I looked and they had about 30 tickets for various prices between $4-$15 at 7:30. What's the deal is this some sort of scam or is it just people selling them so they can at least get some money back? Seems too good to be true. But I thought it is pretty much impossible to scam people on stubhub?

Probably just trying to get something. Even if you get scammed tickets from StubHub. Just call them and they will give you better tickets for the hassle

when the Saints played in BR after Katrina I went to Tiger Stadium after the game started and some black teenager sold me a ticket for $5

I’ve bought cheap tickets before right when an event is starting.
But you can get scammed too. I bought bogus LSU@Texas tickets off stubhub right before kickoff but it was crowded and loud at the gate so they let us in. When we got to the seats the season ticket holders with their hard copies of the tickets were in the seats. So we went over to the LSU sections and squeezed in.
I called stubhub after the game and they refunded the whole purchase. Got to see LSU beat Texas for free

Same. Thing happens every weekend outside of Tiger stadiumsscalpers get very nervous as kickoff draws near.

Go to the college world series. Tickets are 300 bucks for GA. After the first pitch they are 30 bucks.

Well I could have just driven to the dancehall and went down the list buying tickets until some hopefully worked. And then refund all the ones that didn't the next day.
That is nuts. I hope this works on Saturday, cause I really want to see this concert. I'm sure it won't be that cheap but maybe I can find some $20 tickets? Glad I didn't pay $150 a few weeks ago.

I’ve taken advantage many times. People are in the business of flipping tickets. Grab a bunch during presale with codes and profit. Occasionally they can’t move them all and unload dirt cheap in the 11th hour.
Recently scored Billy Strings tickets for $8 each the day of the show when 24 hours earlier they were $50. No issues.

A couple weeks ago I bought Giants tickets at Oracle Park after the game started on Stubhub. I got the lowest section row 1 3rd base for $31. Pretty much on the field.

StubHub is having major problems right now with their system. Makes me wonder if a disgruntled employee sabatoged their platform as they’ve had issues for well over a year now.

The ticket value goes to $0 pretty quickly after the event starts. So prices drop very very quickly at game time.

Dude the face value on those tickets was like $18. I bought a package for the season for like $60.

That $4 ticket will only end up costing you about $124 after StubHub fees. Place will rape you with a quickness.

The fees on tickets from ANYWHERE are utterly ridiculous (ticketbastard, we see you)! But yeah, you'll pay more than double for a $4 or $5 ticket on stubhub when it is all said and done. Still way cheaper than they originally cost in most cases!
