I was just thinking this. The city is on display for the world right now and looks great. Really makes you happy in light of recent events. Say what you want but New Orleans is a special place.

It could be even better all the time but there’s one big reason and it’s not going away. In fact it’s getting worse. Sad.

Good point. I forgot about Vegas. I haven't been to Vegas since they built the stadium .

NOLA should def be in the rotation every 5-6 years for this.

City looks great this week and I am one to shite on it regularly.

I am no fan of NOLA, but there is no better city to hold a major event.

Same on all 3 points.

I’d love for Nola to permanently remove head from arse.

This has been a pretty interesting case study. There has probably never been a reason to have this much law enforcement in New Orleans, given Trump’s appearance and the events of 1/1. Yet, perhaps shockingly to some, with enough of a law enforcement presence and a mandate to prioritize public safety, it’s all of a sudden a safe place.

Vegas is pretty compact, but there is a ground level freeway between the strip and the stadium. It is like having a stadium on the other side of the river.

Now if they added legs to Elon’s loop or the monorail. That may help. The dumbest thing out there the monorail line stopping less than a mile from the airport.

Can't believe I didn't go, I went to Super Bowl 15 and the Oakland Raiders Victory Party! One of the Wildest Times ever! 1981 in NOLA was some good times Hung with John Matuszak and all of them and you talk about Everyone Wild Eyed all night long Tons of snow that year and I lived through it! But the reason I wanted to go is there might not be another one before I'm dead!

Hosting major events is the one thing New Orleans does better than any other city. It’s also easier for law enforcement to stay on top of things since the activities and hotel are limited to a walkable area. Nobody involved with the game is going anywhere near the crime-ridden areas.

I was involved in some of the stuff down there. Everything went off without a hitch. The Madden Bowl had the least amount of security but had no issues.

Shout out to IV Waste. The French quarter and surrounding areas have never looked as clean as they have been the last 6 months

I was a toddler but I have vague memories of a giant yellow bow around the Dome for the Iran hostages .
