A 35 year old male we will call Danny is happily married with a young child. Danny has a good job and his wife is a stay at home mother.
Danny has been fired from his job after 10 years. The reason; he has been falsely accused of workplace sexual harassment by a jealous co-worker obsessed with him who he previously rejected her advances.
Danny struggles to find work. He does not realize in job interviews, his story is not believed by the interviewers even though he's an honest man who thinks they should know.
Danny and his wife are God-fearing church goers who do not drink, party, or smoke.
Danny hits the road every day after he was fired searching for any job and putting in applications at almost every business. He figures he can work his way up no matter where he lands. He has a savings account to temporarily help He just wants to work and provide for his family.
One day, stress overcomes Danny and he decides to stop at a liquor store on his way home from job searching.
Danny decided to buy a random pint of Bourbon at the counter not realizing fully what he was buying.
Later that evening, Danny's wife realized something was wrong. She did not know what. His breath smelled funny and he was acting awkward. She was not familiar with alcohol.
Bourbon was hard to swallow but Danny liked how it made him feel. The next day, he bought another pint.
That evening, Danny's wife realized a problem. The next day, her mother advised her to take the child and leave Danny. As sheltered as Danny's wife was, her mother realized what was going on with alcohol but thought it was best to advise her to get away from Danny. He had no job, he couldn't find a job, he was acting weird, and she could do better.
A week later, Danny came home from a job search with another pint of Bourbon. It was only 3 months ago he was employed and happy. A note on the kitchen counter stated "Danny I love you but I am leaving you. I am taking our son. You will hear from my attorney soon".
Danny shocked and confused decides to leave the house. He drives around looking for his wife and son at places they might be. Danny drinks the Bourbon as he drives. Danny is not in a proper frame of mind. Danny drinks his pint of Bourbon. Danny stops at the liquor store and gets another pint of Bourbon. Danny realizes it's time to go home and try to sleep. Danny drinks half the second pint of Bourbon. A hysterical Danny blacks out behind the wheel and crosses the center line.
A year later Danny is convicted of 3 counts of vehicle manslaughter. Danny is spared prison time. A man his own age had lost his wife and 2 children at the hands of Danny. A week later Danny's divorce was final. He is awarded limited supervised visitation with his son.
Danny lost his home and lived with his parents. Danny struggled with what he'd lost and the loss he had caused another man. Danny found low wage farm work a short distance from his parents home.
Danny perished in a corn field operating a combine harvester.

2. Why would he divulge that in interviews?
3. What kind of loser woman leaves her husband for drinking 2 days in a row?

Damn, wish I hadn't read that. That witch that falsely accused him deserves real never-ending harassment.

Danny seems like a fragile adult if he cannot handle some hardship in life without drinking himself to death

So she left him after 1 day of drinking? And the wife followed the advice of her mother saying she could do better? Is she some big prize or something?

Exactly. If this is a common reaction, watch for the end of the human race.

The minute a woman comes on to him in the workplace you notify HR and consult an attorney.
His wife was looking for an out and his MIL was a bitch. Who leaves after an incident like this and doesn't even try to help him. She must not care about their baby and the affect it will have when she leaves him.
She doesn't love him obviously.
Did he jump out of the harvester and lie down in front of it?

Should have started drinking long before, then it wouldn't have been such a shock to his bitch.
