You’ve been on this site for less than a week. Why are half of your posts almost identical to this one?

I think I read the fiance was the nephew of the DA.
The medical examiner originally stated homicide and after 'meeting ' with higher ups, it got changed. Nothing fishy about that right? nahhh

She was either being fricked by someone who shouldn’t have been fricking her and 1. Got pregnant 2. Wanted to make it legit 3. Was threatening to go public or 4. Wanted to break it off or someone was making passes at her and she wasn’t having it and this happened.

Based on the bruises, she was fricking someone who liked that rough freaky action and she was tired out of it (probably was promised something that wasn’t delivered or wanted more than what was promised) and threatened to end it and/or go public and got murdered.

. It was ruled a homicide, then there was a closed door meeting between police and the ME, and it was reversed to suicide

Kinda like when NFL refs have to defer to New York for replay reviews and often what they come back with is bullshite anyway.

Found the medical examiner's MEO. Pretty intersting read. Fiance is definitely suspect #1 in this case.

LINK

Ellen Greenberg (victim)
Sam Goldberg (fiance of victim, shared aparment with victim)
Phillip Hanton (apartment security staff)

quote:

Mr. Goldberg told the officers who responded to the 9-1-1 call that he had left the couple’s sixth-floor apartment to visit theirbuilding’s gym at approximately 4:45 p.m... Approximately 45 minutes later, Mr. Goldberg said, he returned to the sixth floor but found the apartment door’s swing bar lock engagedfrom the inside.

Mr. Goldberg explained that he returned to the building lobby to try to reach the Victim via cell phone calls and text messages.

When approximately one hour had passed without a response, Mr. Goldbergsaid, he decided to enter the apartment by force.

Mr. Goldberg stated that he returned to the sixth floor accompanied by a building security guard, later identified as Philip Hanton, and forced open the door.

Once inside, Mr. Goldberg discovered the Victim seated on the kitchen floor, with her head slouched over.

After taking an initial statement from Mr. Goldberg, PPD officers accompanied him to a police station for further questioning and released him that evening.

No summary or other detailed record of that interrogation is included in the record provided to this Court, nor was one made available to experts who later investigated the case.

Furthermore, there is no indication in the record that Mr. Hanton, or any other building staff member, was ever questioned by law enforcement officials.

Astonishingly, in a subsequent written declaration, Mr. Hanton stated that that he did not accompany Mr. Goldberg to the sixth floor on the night in question and was notpresent when Mr. Goldberg entered the apartment.

..this seems really, really thin. The murder was in 2011. Shapiro was the state AG starting in 2017. Even more important, the county DA has the power to prosecute this as a homicide or open an investigation if he thinks there is something funny going on. I realize the state AG can investigate a county DA, but like I said, really thin. I'm no Democrat, but this just sounds stupid.

Yeah, I don't really know too much about his involvement, but here is something that might shed a little more light on it:

quote:

Shapiro’s involvement in the case began when the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office was tasked with reviewing it in 2018. His office stood by the city’s 2011 suicide ruling in 2019 and continued to do so through 2022, when it referred the case to another office after critics claimed Shapiro had connections to Greenberg’s fiancé's family. While the AG’s Office insisted there was no conflict of interest, a spokesperson said at the time they referred it due to “the appearance of a conflict.”
