Just had our 3rd child and this may need to happen. Plus I wouldn't mind a van for future date nights with the wife to do some country cruising. Right now shes driving my 17 Silverado, and I'm in an '17 civic. Silverado is paid off, and not getting rid of that, so civic would be traded in. Just know nothing about these Van's out there today. Appreciate the help without pics of the wife

Get a Chevy Suburban.

Minivans aren’t that safe.

Your kids will trash it. Get a Dodge Caravan so you won't get pissed when that happens.

BIL has a 2018 Touring Trim. Highly recommend if you have to go the minivan route.

Can't go wrong with Odyssey or Pilot

Owned an Ody Touring edition. One of the best vehicles I've owned. Feature rich, responsive driving, and built on the Accord chassis

Hands-free opening of doors when lugging toddler stuff is priceless

Congrats on the 3rd child!

Sorry about the need for a new appliance. You are going to want to get the least embarrassing one, and you definitely won't like it as much as you like your Civic or Silverado.

If you have to get a minivan, get the one with the happiest owners. The Honda Odyssey seems to have created a surprising following of product evangelists that is pretty unusual for an appliance like a minivan. Honda also seems to make their cars a little more entertaining to drive than the competitors.

The Chrysler Pacifica also seems to be wildly popular and much better looking than the competitors. That's Chrysler's core competency, so it's definitely worth a look. It has a powerful engine and a good interior. They have a lot of repeat customers and loyal buyers, so they are clearly doing something right. Worth noting that the Pacifica is a Chrysler and is NOT based on a craptastic Fiat chassis.

My brother has a Toyota Sienna. It's been a good car for them, but they aren't really enthusiastic about it like the owners of the Honda and Chrysler competitors seem to be. I'm sure it's a good vehicle that will last a long time though. It just may not be as up to date the Honda or Chrysler. It does seem very roomy and comfortable though.

Ha! That's what you think. They know the rules, and I'm equal opportunity with all of them, they know beatings would happen.

Go test drive them all and buy the one you like best at the price you like.

I've driven an Odyssey and a Sienna, and I liked the way the Sienna drove a little better. But I like the look of the Odyssey better.

This.

Wife has a Toyota Sienna. 3 kids. She loves it. Automatic doors are key.
