Listen to obtuse and get the Cartier. I got my wife one and she loves it.

I would look at Omega at the higher end of your range

Cartier Tank. My wife wants to get a watch at some point given my strong interest — that’s what I’m planning to get her soon.
She doesn’t want Rolex. Also, quartz is better for her needs.
For the “non-watch” person wife, I think it’s a the Cartier is a safe bet.

That would be the watch I recommend. Personally think Omega makes good looking female watches as well if she like a sportier watch.

Nothing says I love you like a "Great Value" brand Rolex...
Look guys we have somebody that honestly doesn’t know what he is talking about!
Note: Rolex outside of maybe 2 or 3 movements are over-rated and are just status symbols due to fools like this!

Pic of wife first, so we can get a better idea of the quality of watch she deserves.

Don't overthink it get a Cartier Tank Must with the high autonomy quartz movement (unless she is a mechanical watch aficionado) and be done. It is as close to a sure bet as anything for a woman's watch. You need to try to discern what size and whether to get it on the bracelet or leather. Match the size generally to the watches she has bought for herself or wears most often and I suggest the bracelet for any watch that comes with one. Especially if you don't "have" to have a Cartier branded strap you can add a nice one for very little money to change things up at any point.
This was exactly the answer I was looking for. THANK YOU!!!

I declined accompanying my wife up to 57th Street in NYC. She bought a 24K Rolex. That was a high price to pay for not getting stuck shopping.

Actually maybe we just need to move this to the Aggie board now.

If you’re going to break that rule, did you really need to break it in that way?

Not bad I’m hoping to get her something larger

The watch is broken; it says 2:00 but it’s clearly 6:00.

I do think it is funny the watch is a Hublot usually pronounced in the US as you-blow.

Go with the Cartier. Got one for my wife and she wears it almost every day. She has a Rolex she got for graduation 40+ years ago and she has never worn it in the 25+ years we have been married. The Cartier is a subtle classic watch.
I got her the stainless Tank Francaise

Get her a Tudor.

The Cliff Notes for "marking the occasion gifts" for most women that like nice "girly" things revolves around three colors: red, blue, and orange.
These may also work but I suggest not letting them open it at the restaurant while waiting for dessert. But you do you.

I like Tudor but their women's line is pretty sparse and IMO as well as my wife's not particularly classic. The Clair de Rose is probably the best of the lineup but the Cartier Ballon Bleu is more attractive in every way, again IMO.
However, de gustibus non est disputandum.
