I bought a book about birds so I can identify them when I'm sitting on my porch. So I'm right there with you.

Wife and I visited our favorite little Uptown restaurant a few months ago. We hadn’t been in 6+ years.

Everyone was dressed in a different style than I was, but they were all dressed similarly.
The restaurant is BYOB. They all brought the same can of seltzer that I don’t think I knew existed.
Wife and I were visibly a decade older than everyone in the restaurant, but they were all adults.

A roller-coaster with more than a 30 degree yawl, or becomes inverted at anytime, kicks your arse and you're done for the day.

The youngest player drafted in the NFL draft was only like 4 months old when Tom Brady won his first Super Bowl.

Yep, I cut ear hair and nose hair more than the hair on my head.

And nothing like getting gray around the good bits. I got gray on the head and face years ago, then it started traveling south to the chest and arms, now I could use Grecian Formula on the old nut sack if I was so inclined-----but I'm not.

I've earned every damn one of that gray hairs.

Realizing what it actually means for your body to age. I thought I knew. Like your back hurts, etc. But for me it is satisfying the needs of a growing body. A deep hunger. Deep sleep. Sex. You just can't replicate that when you age.

The hangovers hurt more than they used to, corn bread an iced tea took the place of pills and 90 proof

Related to that is seeing them less and less. there are people I've known now for almost 20 years and we're in group texts or whatever but we have so little in common now it feels weird to call them 'friends.' How close can you really be to someone you only see once every 2-3 years (or even 4-5), even if you shared a lot of memories years ago.

My physicians seem way too young.

A simple half day project takes a full weekend or longer.

Wanting a calendar that shows only the day of the week.

Large print books seem a good idea.
