I tip very high on lunches less than 50$. Low on lunches over $200.

My grandparents were the worst about tipping. I'd argue with my Grandmother about it. She got on to me one time for tipping too much, which meant more than a dollar. I said you're not hurting the restaurant, you're hurting the waitress. She said well, they need to start paying them better. I'd tip them what I wanted to anyway.

Not at all suprisingly…grandchildren typically have more money than boomers at this point in their lives.

Boomers when posting on political board:

“This country is shite and I’m scared for the future generations”

Same boomers on OT

“Young kids today have it better”

To their credit, tipping was usually 15% for most of the lives of boomers. The standard has recently crept up to 18% .

You don't have to be a boomer to come to this conclusion.

Got that way by not needlessly tipping.

First this survey/online poll was “Based on an online survey among 2,005 U.S.-based adults” and from the tipper POV. I am only expecting it to be an accurate view for those 2,005 people who decided to respond online, and also doubt everyone of those answered truthfully. It is not a study like your subject states.

Regardless It’s above 15% and likely doubling local tax in many places, and true boomers are likely on fixed incomes.

I was actually impressed it was above 15%.

Now where is the black versus white tipping comparison??
