Ultra processed meats being detrimental to your health should not come as a surprise to anyone

Laughed, told my wife...oh that's why so many people in the South have diabetes, now it makes sense...we both rolled our eyes.

It is a nasty arse way to go. First they chop off a toe. Then a piece of your foot. Then a leg.
Then it turns to sepsis and maybe attacks your organs but you do get to eat whatever you want along the way because the doctors don’t give enough of a shite along the way to tell you to change your diet while fleecing your insurance policy.

The researchers found those with a higher overall intake of nitrites - specifically from food additives - had a greater risk of developing type 2 diabetes.

It's not the nitrites, it's the shitty diet.

Anybody can perform a “study” on whatever they want. Doesn’t make it true. Science is a liar…sometimes.

"could", "may"... Gotta love the modifiers they use when the data is inconclusive, incomplete or other factors are greater contributors.

That said, as if we didn't know that nitrite laden, processed meats were crappy for you.

Buy bacon that's been cured with celery juice, or has been uncured. It tastes better anyway.
