well there is only one solution to this

all non whites never get tested and they get free diplomas

you get an unearned diploma and you get an unearned diploma and you get an unearned diploma and you get an unearned diploma and you get an unearned diploma

That writer will probably lose his job over this.

It is almost like they don't understand cause and effect.

Going to get serious for a second.. they have watered down these standarized tests, and the requirements for a degree over the past two decades. Graduation percentages began to determine a university's ranking and from there the grade inflation began. Student success initiatives and software which claims to boost graduation/success rates have exploded, and has led to a shittier education overall, IMO.

Do you realise taking the SAT/ACT is often not a prerequisite for getting a state diploma?

Delete “but” and add because. Also put a period after test.

I'm not sure if it's a requirement anywhere

Those are college assessments

All of this. Came here to add, I took my little brother in law to his SAT in August (West Los Angeles). When we arrived at the center, I almost thought we were at the wrong place. There were literally large tour buses full of Chinese students who flew in for the test. This wasn’t a fluke either, apparently happens all over the West Coast. It also not infrequently occurs that certain tests/questions are leaked to high-paying Chinese parents. I can’t understand why students are encouraged to walk out of school over gun violence, climate change, whatever, but would never be allowed to protest globally sub-par public education in the US (unless the protest blamed it on lack of funding), a student loan scheme that encourages sky-high tuition, and/or admittance of large numbers of Chinese students into publicly-funded universities.

Matt Coyne might have written his best and last article.
