Remember when the NYC mayor publicly said that he didn't want Chick-Fil-A in the city, but when CFA opened, the line was literally around the block?

The controversy a few years back happened when they came out with the spicy sandwich and 2 new chicken salads. People came in and tried their new products and are now fans.
Controversy has helped CFA. Starbucks tries to create controversy every year with their cups for the same reason.

I don't believe in safe spaces (with exceptions), but I could see why the students don't want a homophobic company that sells greasy chicken on campus.
