Now you are just fricking lying. Pineapples and ham are meant for pizza.

I typically think schools overreact and try to make an example out of kids being kids for dumb shite (ie finger/poptart "guns"), but this time I agree. These girls are old enough to understand they could've killed her. Maybe this will stop them from being complete pieces of shite for their entire lives.

Well at least she didn't put it on a pizza. That would've been a far greater crime.

a friend of mine is a principle at a jr. high school and he said some girls are evil.
They will plot the demise of a girl they do not like.
boys will fight and be friends again in 2 weeks.

You didn't just figure this out on your own like the rest of us? Do you live in a cave?

I may be inclined to agree with you under different circumstances but you may want to re-read. The girl deliberately exposed a kid that she knew was allergic for shits and giggles.

Double post. Here’s a fun gif

sorry you never learned to read
It literally says the cafeteria doesn’t serve pineapple because this one student is allergic.
Obviously she isn’t that allergic.
But why should every other student suffer because 1 student has an issue with it?
If one student is Muslim or Jewish should everyone else not be able to have pork products?
And my reading skills are just fine

That’s not the point I am arguing with. Teenage girls may be the cruelest little monsters on earth.
What I have an issue with is the cafeteria having to change what it can serve because of ONE PERSON.
What if someone else is “allergic to gluten”? Should the school not be able to serve anything with wheat in it?

I think you're making too much of the cafeteria. I can't recall a single time we had pineapple in school. Now milk or wheat products being off limits would be absurd. But pineapple really isn't that common in school food. Food really isn't that common in school food, honestly.

10 years ago that's called "High School."
Thankfully we're a little smarter than that now.

it literally said girls intentionally beought pineapple and put on their hands to expose the one allergic. Which was the whole point of the story, not the cafeteria serving it.

yea, she could have just died. no big deal. Not that bad

yea, why should the school worry about one kid dying, there are plenty more there. Her life isnt that important.

well depends, will the pork kill that one student or naa?

One of those is a legitimate health issue and the other is a religious one. Also, it's pineapple, something that is incredibly easy to keep out of a school cafeteria.
If the girl was allergic to instant potatoes, it would be a different story.

Agree with all of this. And these weren't little kids who didn't quite understand the potential consequences of exposing someone with a severe allergy. 14 year olds know better. This was cruel and reckless. I hope they learn a lesson.
I wonder what has increased the rate of severe food allergies? This used to be such a rare thing when I was a kid. But now like every 5th family or so I know has a child with legit allergies.

Kids are dumb
Apparently parents are even worse:
quote:
The pineapple was not illegally brought in. It’s not a weapon. It’s not any of those things. It’s a fruit cup. And can you intentionally and knowingly kill somebody with a fruit cup? I don’t think adults could make that decision let alone 14 year olds,” said Attorney Mike Santicola.
Mr. Santicola said his daughter and her friends appear to be overcharged.
“Fourteen year old girls. I liken this to a prank and a prank does not rise to the level of intentionally harming somebody where they can die,” said Mr. Santicola told KDKA.

Guess I'm in the minority but I don't find this story the least bit funny.

So she got it on her hand and nothing happened?
I’m skeptical of some food allergies. I think overprotective parents see one little rash and think that “omg, she’s deathly allergic” when in fact if she were exposed to it she might find she isn’t that allergic.
I realize that there are legitimately deadly food allergies but I think a lot of them can be overcome.

So if she knows she’s allergic, then she should avoid it, not make everyone else have to. That’s my point.
That the girls did that is shitty but that’s a separate argument.
