Wife got nearly this exact same degree (public admin vs art, with the nonprofit focus), for $13,000. Never would have even considered it for $65k

She/It? Is on LinkedIn. It’s masters is from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I am guessing that ain’t a cheap school. Don’t look it up on LinkedIn… you don’t want to.

No. frick no.

I get fricked because I got a good degree and a good job? frick that. Forgive mine and hold it over the people who never had any intention of paying theirs back.

And refund me for paying mine down early as well.

frick this shite and frick rewarding people for sucking at life.

I understand the sentiment. There's a victimhood mentality among themselves and others that these students were duped. I don't know how their lack of understanding is anybody else's fault but theirs. They are supposedly smart enough to go to college; that should be smart enough to understand what $50k in debt really means.

i could see the biden admin trying to use some executive orders to try and "soften the blow" somehow.

I don't. They need the people with student loans to feel the pain of having to pay them back, so they can run on the empty promises of forgiving them in the future. If they defer them now, they risk having those people will forget it was deferred and may not show-up on election day

I wonder how deep that $110B that Biden sent to his defense contract buddies via Ukraine could’ve cut into their debt relief.

Or homelessness?

Or mental health?

Keep the bombs coming!!

Is this where we tell those dumbasses with useless degrees to become a plumber or electrician?

..since they told Coal Miners to learn to code..?

If thinking people should pay back money they willingly borrowed makes one un-Christian then yes, yes I am

Jessica Musselwhite took on about $65,000 in loans to finance a master’s degree in arts administration and nonprofit management, which she finished in 2006. When she found a job related to her field, it paid $26,500 annually. Her $650 monthly student loan installments consumed half her take-home pay. LOL! Should have become a pipe fitter

She should have gone and worked for the govt for 10 years, got vested in the pension, and her student loans would have been paid off w/o Uncle Joe’s political stunt.

I’m almost positive the millions of folks who voted democrat simply for student loan forgiveness will consider other party candidates. Positive. They are brilliant scholars

And Democrats running for office will still keep promising it.

I haven't really thought about it since I don't have first-hand experience with the PPP loans.

No one is stopping you from paying off these debts for them if you want to go that route. I didn't think being so liberal with other people's money is a christian sentiment.

How is it impossible? Just because the emergency has been declared over? Biden can EO whatever he wants. It'll take three months just for a challenge to get through the courts.

No government shouldn’t have allowed the privatization and profit industry to become involved which only fueled the ridiculous rise in cost of college. But if it fricks the middle class rn we are going to do it 95% of the time. I am glad I will be dead before it fully happens but enjoy living in a banana republic

Student loans and college costs ate the biggest rip off to the American public. They've inflated degrees to the point where the degree os worth more than the job.

Yes people still agree to them but if you want to become sonething and you know the starting salary is Y, yet the school determines it cost Z which is way more than a year or two salary, what other options do you have.

No. Because if the government comes out and demands you not work.. they should reimburse you for it.

The government didn’t force anyone to take out student loans and then live on them.
