It always baffles me that people think the easier explanation of these things is that there is some ongoing, grand conspiracy to commit mass murder by some entity, easily hidden from almost everyone rather than some a-hole shooting up a school, church, concert, movie theater, etc.

Cruz fired the shots, then fled the campus. As he was fleeing, there were other students leaving the campus as well. She was walking with him and Cruz acted like he had nothing to do with it.
The female student surmised there was a second shooter because she saw Cruz and "thought" the gunshots were coming from another part of the building.
