How could you be that confident to not even take a test shot at the ground first? Incredibly sad and I feel terrible for the guy who shot him, but jesus christ man

Not to mention you don't even have to pull the trigger, the sight of a gun pointed at you suddenly is enough of a jolt as is.

Terrible.

A friend of mine had a boating accident and drowned. He was motoring down the lake in his johnboat, and hit a stump. The front end of the boat jumped up, tipping my friend backwards out of the boat. His life jacket hung up in the prop and held him just under water until he drowned.
Another fisherman heard my friend hit the stump and went to investigate only to find an empty boat. He towed it all the way back to the boat ramp only to discover my friend still hung up in the prop.

I like my chances in comparison to cranes, heavy steel wires, wrecking balls crushing skulls and wood chippers

Kid I went to HS with left school on his final day of his senior year. He was riding with another senior(who has had threads about his recent arrest on the OT)when they came up to some road construction. They were in a Camaro with T tops and had them removed. Passenger sticks he head up to see what was going on because we were way out in the country and there was never any construction or road blockages out there. Well they were stringing power lines and it was barely off the ground. The power line slid up the windshield and caught him by the neck and ripped him from the car. He bounced off the back and rolled into the ditch and was killed immediately.

I was still at school at this time. The girl in the car behind them saw it all and came back to the school. I was standing right there when she jumped out of her car and collapsed crying. It was a sad day.

I'm over trauma services, needless to say I have seen a few. One that sticks out is a domestic dispute tuned violent when the wife picked up the family microwave and slammed it on the head of her husband sitting in his Lazy-boy recliner.

it was pretty crazy how that notre dame student was filming practice in a man lift and even tweeted saying it was getting really windy that he wouldnt make it out alive. then the lift fell over and he died.

kathleen blanco's son died when a suspended load fell from a crain over head, crushed him instantly.

My great aunt, who was in her 70's at the time, slipped and fell coming out of the Ga Tech vs Notre Dame game 5-6 years ago. She hit her chin and needed stitches.

They took her to the hospital. Sitting on the gurney, she suddenly said she had a headache, vomited and fell over dead. Hematoma.

My mom worked with a guy who was killed when a car flipped on to him. He was standing on a street corner in downtown NOLA and some car was driving out of control. The car ends up flipping up on to the curb and crushed the guy. I don't remember all of the details but that was the general outline of it. The guy who died was a father of 7. Very sad.

Both completely avoidable. That kid should have never been elevated in those wind conditions. And the first rule of crane safety is never be under the load.

Had a patient of mine die of a heart attack last year. His wife takes the dogs out for a walk after lunch and came back to find him dead in the computer chair with his pants down and asian porn on the computer.
