A girl I went to UK with, slipped and fell in her apartment parking lot last Sunday night. She was found dead hours later. Presumably froze to death. Terrible.
And when I was at Fort Lewis doing a land navigation course one guy apparently became so distraught that he hung himself with his LBV while on the course.

My best friend (we'll call him Z)and I were doing a job for our boss getting rid of a guy (we'll call him X) with specific instructions how to do it.
We were to knock him silly and chain concrete blocks to his torso and toss him from a bridge so he could feel the drowning sensation. Pretty standard stuff.
Well just as we are waking X up to toss him over, he grabs Z and they go tumbling into an unsaid river.
Never saw Z again. I cried for days.
No but seriously, a girl I knew, her mom was vacuuming upstairs and tripped on the chord and tumbled down the carpet stairs. Broke her neck and was dead when someone got home.
Life is short and not guaranteed, enjoy every moment with your loved ones!

HS PE class we were in the gym doing the rope climbing. Guy was making about his fourth climb or so, started up, came back down and put one foot on the floor then fell over dead.

A cousin of mine fell off a rig in the gulf and was eaten by a shark. The guy was a midget, too.

At least he got memorialized by icthyologists, kind of like Lou Gehrig.

So what did he die of? Rope burn?

Yeah it had to be pretty instant. A tight stream at several thousand psi would slice through someone easily. Terrible

My uncle worked on trains. Slipped off and was sliced in half. I had to identify his body.

A friend of mine in high school was hit by a drunk driver on a sidewalk on a Friday afternoon and died within minutes. The guy got away with it since his uncle was the local sheriff and somehow they weren't able to find any evidence or breathalyzer results. That was in 10th grade and needless to say I haven't trusted cops since then.

Damn - I had this in college and didn't go to the Dr for 4-5 days.
I had some crazy symptoms like showing up at a wrong class and forgetting where my car was, serious shite.

Jamie Marie Daigle, 14 June 25, 2005 Bull shark Daigle was killed while swimming with a friend on boogie boards about 200 yards (180 m) off a beach in Walton County, Florida, 8 miles (13 km) east of Destin, Florida. Witnesses estimated the shark was 6–8 feet (1.8–2.4 m) long
I remember this. My Aunt was a teacher at the school that girl went to (St. Theresa) at the time. Very sad story :(

Had a friend jogging on the beach at Hilton Head who was killed by a airplane which had lost its propellor and it was gliding in to land on the beach and hit him from behind

Some family friends 3 year old daughter suffocated on a balloon at her birthday party. One of the balloons popped near her, the noise caused her to gasp, inhaling a piece of the balloon.
I remember hearing about a group of 3-4 guys coming into Fourchon at night in small sport fishing boat. They hit a moored barge at full speed and ended up launched onto the barge. I think a couple of them died instantly, the others succumbed to their injury during the night... they weren't found until the morning.
