I've always liked the smell of fresh new recording media.
Video tape and Audio tape brands all have their own smell.

Ampex and Scotch video tape smelled different than their audio tape.
Ampex back coated tape (such as 406/407 and 456/457) had a sweet candy like smell
Ampex non backcoated tapes (such as 631) had a more bitter smell.
Agfa PEM 468 a more chocolate smell. Not sure about their other formulations.
Scotch had a less sweet smell. Videotapes the same.
Most of the above have become swollen with SSS.

Maxell tapes (cassettes and reels) had a certain sweet smell.

Metal tapes all smelled the same including Fuji, TDK, That's and Maxell.

Friction Stabilizer for a transmission. Good luck beating that one.

Plus, the smell sticks to anything it touches and lingers for weeks.

JB-80, a penetrating fluid we used my entire life growing up on the farm for helping break loose stuck fasteners.

Pussy. You know the first time you went down that thing had a kick to it, but then you couldn't get enough of it.

It’s the OT, and nobody has answered “cocaine” through almost 2 pages.
