Yeah, those forums were pretty awesome. Same people. My screen name back then on WWL was "weatherbandman". I was 13 when I made the account... give me a break.

Anyways, definitely convection blowing up around the center.

Anybody else have a feeling it’s there going to be an ever so slight shift west overnight? Giving NOLA some serious street flooding. The NHC track has zero eastern movement for the next couple days and it almost seemed to wobble East today.

So the latest report thinks there may be some more moisture wrapping around the center during the night as it moves in. We will see. I still think the dry air and some shear breaks it up and the rain moves way east.

Drier air is going to cut off that eastern part of the storm over the next half a day or so, and you'll be left with a smaller and somewhat more traditional looking system at that point.
