dry air will continue to be an issue and this will fall apart close to the coast and be a nothing burger as usual.
my prediction.
I know I keep relaying model information but if I’m being honest, this would be my prediction also.

I actually think Cristobal is handling the dry air pretty well and will continue to do so.

Tightening up that big circulation is the bigger struggle for Cristobal imo.
I agree. The dry air isn't going to short circuit this one imo.

Lafourche Parish
As Tropical Storm Cristobal approaches coastal landfall, Parish President Archie Chaisson has issued a Mandatory Evacuation for all residents and businesses South of the Leon Theriot Flood Gate and other low-lying areas.
Lafourche Parish officials have issued a mandatory evacuation effective at 6:00 p.m. tomorrow, Saturday, June 6, for the area below the Leon Theriot Lock in Golden Meadow. With that, GLPC will be moving to GLPC Storm Phase IV: Mandatory Evacuation for Port Fourchon. This means that all remaining personnel should evacuate the port by 6:00 p.m. tomorrow evening, June 6, 2020.

Most, if not all, of the rains will be far east of the center of circulation, correct?
Posted on 6/5/20 at 7:10 pm to East Coast Band
They post estimated rainfall totals but it’s highly likely we won’t know until radar shows the rain bands coming in
Posted on 6/5/20 at 7:21 pm to The Boat
I’m assuming that if we catch the eye of the storm, it’s a lot better than being on the east side?
Posted on 6/5/20 at 7:28 pm to CrossFitTiger2001
There won’t be an eye

No live PD tonight.
Anybody look at the local radar this evening? Got a big line heading south.
