I wouldn’t fill my bathtub with water in BR. You might have to jump in it if a tornado hits.

I always thought that BR Water had backup generators to keep the water treatment running in the event of wide scale power loss.
Our water comes from wells. Other than chlorination there’s no treatment involved.
But your question is still applicable. I’m not sure if the water wells have a back up generator
I’ll put it this way: I’ve been on the middle of Baton Rouge for over 13 years. Never lost water

I mean,, it was true. Just not in New Orleans
Bay St Louis is about 20-30 miles east of New Orleans.
Most of them watch NOLA tv stations.

If you’ve “been to the amusement park” in the tub don’t fill it up. Standard practice.
What??

But it wasn’t. It was storm surge, not wind
Not sure the message was directed strictly to wind either.

Again, the advisory was about wind damage. Bay St Louis had 3-1/2 Shaq’s of water slam into it. Rummy even said so after you asked him to back you up

I grabbed a generator in Jackson, MS around dinner. Dude told me they were receiving phone orders all day for them. Generators are drying up fast but Grainger is a good idea.

I’m really going appreciate these last few hours of a/c
I will not take them for granted. I’m going to sleep naked with no blankets, temp set to 68, and fan on high
I’m going to store the cold in my body like a solar panel does sun light

Yeah, Bay St Louis would have been fine without the storm surge.
Downplaying shite like this is amazing.

I get that. But they literally said the wind was going to create flying appliances and light vehicles. That is 100% stupid fear porn.
I used to have a video of a old Honda 3 wheeler and an outdoor deep freeze being thrown down a street like a baseball from Port Sulphur from Katrina... it definitely happened
Supposedly the Honda still runs

Who is downplaying anything? We are literally stating exactly what happened.
When a building collapses, there’s usually a bunch of rubble right at the base, right? Why was beach boulevard full of clean slabs after Katrina?

Put a snorkel on the towel rack and keep all your bases covered.
