Check the winds from Lake Charles. They were Cat 1/Cat 2 if memory serves. Look at what it did there.

As the track is from the NHC, Baton Rouge would be in for a similar experience.

Planning on riding it out in St. Charles parish. On East bank in a subdivision that doesn’t flood and in a very elevated house. Maybe not one of my better decisions in life but I got a generator and plenty gas. If it shifts hard East tomorrow I may rethink and head out.

Stop doomsday posting. It’s plenty of time. I-10 is 100+ miles from the coast.

I totally agree. He has plenty time to get back from Florida.

I just didn’t want the guys internal clock to be set at landfall time. His target to get home should be when tropical storm force winds start to hit his route or house.

There are maps showing that and it’s well before landfall.

Not a dude. And shut up. I have been through tornados. And BR is going to be in NE quadrant where tornados usually spawn from. Excuse me for trying to see if the resident hurricane expert would stay in BR.

Gustav dropped a ton of tornados. It screwed up SEBR pretty bad.

I'll be riding it out from the lakefront in NOLA. Will post updates from the seawall (top of levee at Canal St.) until power goes out.

I sure hope Entergy gets the guys in the bucket trucks back to work faster than last time.
