Well while I am kind of numb and want to give up on life right now, we can all say, "at least I'm not her." I just saw this on the SWLA disaster page:

Lol. You can tell how our luck has been with hurricanes when we get a model showing a Cat2 hitting LC and our first reaction is "That's not too bad".

I just closed on a rental I paid cash for. It's still damaged from last year's storms so I wasn't in a hurry to add insurance until I started the repairs in a few weeks. My agent just texted me back and came through with a vacant home policy for it and now I sort of hope it blows away as I will triple my money without touching it.

There are no mountains on the Yucatán peninsula
That's what I was thinking. I was trying to remember mountains when driving across there to see some ancient temple my wife wanted to see in the middle of our Cancun vacation.

It was flat as a pancake in my recollection--aside from whatever temple we went to see (and climbed its narrow steps because--I'm not sure why). Wife told me a few years later that they stopped tourists from climbing it so we were some of the last people allowed to go up. I asked why the hell they hadn't stopped it before our trip. I mean, I climb telephone poles for a living--my idea of a vacation isn't hanging onto a Mexican rope and ascending to the top of some rock edifice in the middle of a goddamn jungle.

Rant ON [OFF]. Back to RDS and the OT weather gurus (not Peej obviously) and their regularly scheduled programming.

Yea a Cat 2 and I may ride it out in South LC. Anything more than that I will play by ear.

No a different one. It's a commercial/building policy b/c I'm technically a renter.

I have seen the "were you dropped by Geovera?" postings seeking claimants for some class action, though.
