Combined longest thread in TD history, easily.
Not even top 10 - Poli Board’s Q Thread and SECRant’s ATPB thread are 1,2 Not sure where Q thread ended, but ATPB thread was 2,200+ pages

This one has potential.
All we need is a little hissy fit among 2 or 3 posters about something ridiculously useless and that can potentially add 50 extra pages.
Gonna depend on how liberal the post whacking gets.

Yesterday the chart was still showing hurricane strength well inland. Today it’s going from a major to a tropical storm right after landfall. Any reason for that?

Very very few, at least not any relatively reasonable cost (less than 400 a night with all fees and costs).
Last night we started calling the hotels directly. We found a place, reasonably priced, that took dogs. They were showing booked online, but we lucked out and they had some cancellations right when we called.

Slowing down over land making the turn to the northeast to head on out
ETA: Some models want some attention:

I'd rather it move inland faster as a higher powered storm than sit and dump rain. That would be a disaster

Looks like maybe the NWS has backed the rainfall totals down a little… that’s at least a little good news right?
That's a BIG drop down

Yeah it was wide spread 5-15 inches eariler… seems like like 3-5 now with some smaller higher pockets

Just saw a group of busses picking up people from under the Claiborne overpass. Said they were heading to Houston.

Yep, but they keep the doors open during storms

Those two blue lines need to go

Am I seeing a different map? It's still widespread 10 to 15.
