I might just take the I-10 and chill in Alabama hotels or motels, any good one you guys would recommend near the interstate with good eats?

Nah that's the shelter in place trigger.

Cat 4 will do it, I am just not sure how the actual land fall location plays into it.

Make sure your jack and spare are good. Get yourself an air pump or tire repair kit. Tire repair could be difficult to find, or might take a long time (days) to get done.

Damn good idea…I’ve got a plugging kit on the shelf in the garage!

Not sure why it takes a 4. You’d think a CAT 3 would be the impetus to evacuate.

So all this rain south of NO right now. Any chance it’s cooling the water some?

A reach…but I’ll take what I can get.

Just got a chance to see the updates. So essentially this still seems to be more of a BR to Nola thing? Or will the triparish area still just get a bit of the west side of the storm. Like is lafayette/acadia/St. Landry out of the woods enough not to worry about evacs and shite. I plan to stay anyways, but yeah.

Leaving Nola around 5 and heading to lake Conroe. What does 10 to Beaumont look like so far? A lot of folks getting out of town this evening?

They have 2 garages I don't know if its open to anyone during the storm. Most students have left campus since it is closed till Tuesday. All non essential have been sent home as well. Don't know if parking police are essential. Never see them here on the weekend.
