Our shot of the hurricane isn't 0% but it's like...10%
It has to shift about, literally, 100 miles west

I have family in Houma. I don't think they are going to be leaving either.

First of all, you assholes need to quit wishin this storm East cuz it’s workin.
Second, is there really a serious shortage of transformers and parts for them????
Third, if this bastard ramps up and hits Bay St Louis again on the anniversary of Katrina, there is zero doubt the Indian curse legend is legitimate. No other explanation

If you're in Houma/NOLA, this would be devastating.
One of those is not like the other on that trajectory, FWIW.

I was buying storm groceries/stuff a couple of days ago and saw another person with a very full basket. I almost asked if they were storm prepping but then realized that might offend someone who just really likes to eat a lot of food

Well yeah... for a direct hit. Any 50 mile shift towards Lake A or Jennings area would suck balls

24 hours ago #Ida was only a 30-kt Tropical Depression. Now that Ida is a 65-kt #hurricane, it implies winds have increased 35-kt in 24 hours, satisfying the definition of "Rapid Intensification."

Any chance this thing just bottoms out and we are all ok?
Posted on 8/27/21 at 12:22 pm to Oates Mustache
Probably will ride it out unless it hits a 4

New HWRF has pressure at 938 at landfall.
I hope that’s an outlier.
