Isn't that a glorified water trough? The livestock needs water

Grew up in the country and had one. Nothing better than the day we would roll it back in the yard, scrub it clean, then start filling water. Took a few days to completely fill without taxing the water well up too much. Wouldn’t be long before the biting water bugs would get in.

I'd guess it's not much different than an Intex pool, but not inflatable so more durable I guess?

it's probably just some Joanna Gaines farmhouse chic fad

Used to go to one of my cousins as a kid to swim in theirs. That was in the early 1960's.

Had something similar as a kid aged 8-12. Used it a lot.

My parents put dissolvable chlorine tablets in it and it kept any sort of insect away.

Well, I guess we were country before country was cool. We didn’t landscape around it for sure. Swam in it in the summer, played on the ice in winter.

It’s not trashy. Those pictures are pretty cool.

Now I don’t know how well a metal lined pool in SELA in the summer is going to do. Not a lot of volume there to regulate temperature even with a pump. It’ll be more like a hot tub.
