Graduated late 90s FFS, and still occasionally have the one where you’re close to semester ending and have a class you’ve been ditching and have no idea what’s going on, also mixed with some element of needing the class to graduate and maybe won’t or something.

It’s been so long since I was in undergrad you can probably now drop a class on the spot via smartphone or even mental telepathy which just emphasizes the ridiculousness of the dream.

Anyone still have this shite years later?

Usually it's a class I'm somehow registered for without realizing it

Yes, I still have variations of that dream and I'm in my 60s.

What is that about. I too have this exact scenario in my dreams. Strange mandela-ish effect.

Graduated grad school 4 years ago. The one I get at least once a week is someone calling and telling me they awarded my degree by mistake and I have 3 months to finish the class or I can lose my license to practice.

Even though since I’ve graduated, I’ve taken and passed a specialty exam

Have had this exact dream. Sinking feeling in pit of stomach. Vivid.

I still get these, and they're almost they're the exact same as yours. Been skipping all semester, need it to graduate, not a clue.

I also worked in a restaurant for a few years and have recurring restaurant dreams.

Often represents personal growth or learning something new. Are you being asked to learn something new at work?

For me it's either the last day of class but the first day I've been there (so I have no idea what's going on) or it's the last day of class and I've never been there so I have no idea where it is.

A variation is that I find out my high school diploma isn't valid, I need to take an English class or something and I simply haven't been taking it and now there's no time left (so I'll never get my diploma).

I also have one like this from my years in radio (in the 90s). The station is still using carts (catridges, looked like 8-track tapes) but there are no other carts with songs on them. All I can find are some liner carts, bumpers or a couple of commercials. As I get through them, there's simply nothing else to play so there's dead air while I am turning the whole station upside down for anything to play.

Even after decades, these dreams still re-surface every great once in a while.

I have a pretty common one of being in class and realizing that I'm not dressed. I try and stay seated hoping that no one will notice.

The most common one I have though is being in High School and forgetting the combination to my locker. I probably have that one every couple of months or so.

I have a variation on every one of these dreams 3-4 times per year. I graduated college in 2000.

But the latest one is that I drive my truck off into a swimming pool. What the hell is that about?

Graduated many years ago and still have that dream where I've been skipping a class all semester and unsure about what my current grade would be.

So weird as I never skipped classes in college.

That one means you’re embarrassed about something. Could be an opinion that you hold that you don’t want others knowing about. That’s a very common one.

Mine is the one where I’m sitting in class and it’s the final exam and I haven’t been all year and have no clue wtf is going on.

Sucks and I have it once every couple of months.

I think the “not prepared” dream is just a reflection of some kind of anxiety you are feeling. Like maybe you are a little overmatched at work or need a vacation.

Sort of like how we sometimes dream about snakes when we subconsciously suspect someone of being a toxic force in our lives. Or at least I do.
