They had Columbia being Miss Universe for like a full three minutes before he admitted he read the card wrong, and she was the runner-up, not the winner. They immediately just end it while trying to pass the crown from Columbia.

Cliffs Harvey: Miss universe is Miss Colombia. Celebration begins and the crown is placed on her head. Few minutes go by and it's kind of weird nothing is really happening except the crowd screaming. Harvey gets on mike: there has been a mistake, first runner up is actually Miss Colombia and Miss Universe is Miss Phillipines. He then takes the blame.
