I use the maps on my iPhone and it shows traffic backed up to Millerville.

Yep. 12W is backed up to Millerville-ish then closed all the way to 110. This is already a clusterfrick. Going to be hell in about an hour or so.

With the current state of affairs in this state, nation, and region you will be lucky if the bridge is still standing by the time you get to it!!!

East was open for me just now from Essen to O'Neal. West was at a dead stop from Airline to at least O'Neal. That's as far as I could see.

My condolences to you Baton Rouge folks dealing with the daily traffic headaches over there - especially those who have to deal with the Mississippi River bridge. We left Baton Rouge a few Sundays ago and saw the aftermath from the fatal accident with the semi-trailer truck. We were going westbound - but eastbound traffic was basically at a standstill for 8 miles.

The politicians are never going to let a Loop happen. All we have some corrupt AF posers pandering to puddinheads to reelect them and secure their retirement bags.
They’re rrrreally worried about some ten commandments posters on the walls of the classrooms. Really proud to get that done.
They all live out in the country too. They don’t deal with this traffic mess that they created over decades.
