Single stay at home moms. How do they have money to live?

when you combine child support. section 8, food stamps, WIC, and medicaid, then sprinkle in some welfare, EEIC, and child tax credit, you get the equivalent of like a $45k annual salary

This in spades!

By the time the judge had awarded my first wife her portion of my income she was bringing home more money than I was.

I'm not even including the child support portion of the judgment either.

I have a relative that makes more than I do in child support and alimony. Plus her parents are loaded, so they buy her cars and condos.

Oh, they can also bring it to a new level by getting SS checks for themselves and their kids. Teach the kids to be violent bad asses and they can get a check for having a "behavior disorder" or some other BS.

I saw a lot of crap like this as a teacher.

The kid's gonna get only about $733 a month, the current max for SSI.

A disabled adult can get that or, under a similar program called SSDI, a greater amount based on prior earnings. Per SS, "Most SSDI recipients receive between $700 and $1,700 per month (the average for 2015 is $1,165)." The max is $2663, which would apply only if they were a big earner before disabled.

Plus, the standard for who is disabled is much more strict than most folks think it is. Most of what people say about it is bullshite.

They ain't getting rich off that.
