Hence the reason we have the Electoral College.

The entire time I was in Texas it felt like I was on Siegen lane during rush hour. No thank you.

Now do countries with fewer people than the New York–Newark–Jersey City, NY-NJ MSA (almost 20M) or Los Angeles–Long Beach–Anaheim, CA MSA (almost 13M)

Spoiler, it's almost 120 with fewer than LA and almost 130 with fewer than NY/NJ

There are only 3 States with more people than the NY/NJ MSA (oddly, NY State doesn't have more people than the NY/NJ MSA although it is very close) and only 5 States with more than the LA MSA.

NYC would have the same map pretty much too.

NYC metro is bigger than probably 45 states. Maybe more.

More.

The NYC metro area is more populous than New York state.

Which major highways through Dallas don’t have toll roads/express lanes?

But that’s the only one left, right? I’ve been very happy with the progress on 635 construction and new lanes open going east. Once they expand that toll road past 30 my commute time to and from the lake with be about 75 minutes.

I have to go to Shreveport often, so while there is a toll road beginning at I-635 and I-35E the toll road dumps you off not far past 75 and it generally sucks all the way out to past the I-30 interchange.

Coming from Flower Mound, I prefer to take 121 to 114 to Loop 12 to I-20. Otherwise, it's 121 to 635 to Hwy 80 to I-20 where 80 and 20 meet in Terrell by Bucees, or skip 80 entirely, and just stay on 635 down to I-20 East.

I hate both getting out of DFW and the drive. I-20 should be 3 lanes of traffic on each side between DFW and Atlanta, but we can't have that. There are way too many vehicles on I-20 for just two lanes.

Yes, extending that express lane on 635 past 30 is the answer to most of the issues. My husband prefers taking 20 to 175 but I prefer 635 straight to 175. The only major issue is between 75 and 30. I can’t stand driving I20 because it’s only 2 lanes with jackasses driving side by side with no ability to pass.

Tyler is a long way from the eastern extent of Dallas. Maybe Terrell.

I make that trip at least yearly and have switched to taking I49 out of Shreveport to Texarkana and taking 82 across to Henrietta TX. Way less stressful drive.

Are an abomination. I've already paid for the road once. Why should I pay for it again?

By 2040, you’ll be able to have this same map with Atlanta. The population is at 7MIL now and showing no signs of slowing down.

And every one of those states gets 2 senators. ~70% of our Senate COMBINED represent less people than the DFW metro. kinda fricked up.

Thank God for the EC and the idea of federalism built on states rights!
