Troopers body is functioning without assistance. His brain is listed as unresponsive. They are flying in a doctor from Boston I believe. 3 pellets entered his head from the shotgun. Not sure when the doctor will get there I wasn't told. I'd imagine asap

Can any doctors, nurses, or med students give sone insight about the above post.

Is the brain just shut down temporarily for an unknown time due to trauma? Maybe after swelling or something it will pick back up? Those possibilities at all?

Thanks for the update. I will keep praying for him.

Dam news is just reporting on the story and more time on the POS, but nothing about the trooper's health.

Boston must have some top notch brain surgeons. 25 years ago a Boston brain surgeon was flown to NOLA to do surgery on my cousin who had brain injuries in a car accident. The particular procedure that had to be done had never been done by any of the local brain surgeons. My cousin survived and after a few years of therapy is OK except for poor vision in one eye and some minor motor skill problems.

Hopefully Trooper Vincent will have the same outcome.

Damn, that's so sad.

The OT idiots love to hate on cops, but most of us wouldn't dare do that job for a day.

Also, HUGE props to these people:

After the shooting, he said, Daigle wandered into the road and over to Vincent, asking if he was alive. "You could hear him breathing, telling him, 'You're lucky. You're lucky - you're going to die soon.' That's the words that came out of his mouth," Edmonson said. He said two or three drivers stopped immediately, one of them spinning around on the two-lane highway. That driver wrestled the shotgun away from Daigle, and, with the others, got him to the ground, and snapped Vincent's handcuffs on his wrists, Edmonson said. As far as he knew, he said, the good Samaritans were unhurt.

These are the down to earth, hard working people SJW's love to criticize and belittle.
