Maybe, maybe not. I shop mine every couple of years and SF is still the cheapest option in my city. I've been with them for 30 years.

i hate that term. people run around having state minimum liability limits and brag about having "full coverage"

because state farm would do slimy stuff like: Family of 3, 2 parents plus a driving teenager. They would only rate the teen driver on 1 vehicle and not apply all drivers to all vehicles in household.

Legitimate concern, but the insurance salesman in this thread is assuring you this won’t happen

25/50 is not “full coverage” there’s no such thing as full coverage. 25/50 is extremely low for liability

the shite are you trying to say? i know first hand how state farm has written numerous auto policies for people. i also know first hand how nearly every other insurance companies work with adding drivers and vehicles onto a singular policy.

That’s simply how our old system worked. The teen is rated on the car they drive most, but are covered under all cars unless excluded. Again, permissive use provides coverage to drivers not even in the HH, so it covers resident or non resident children.

Feel free to provide evidence to support the fact you think I’m misrepresenting how SF old policies worked vs the new multi car policy.

DC is right that they teens can drive any car. I know someone that state farm put the kid on the vehicle that rated most favorably, not the vehicle the teen actually drives.

What i'm explaining is that its been an unfair competitiveness in quoting against state farm at times because of how they separate the vehicles and all household drivers are not listed on all units on each policy.

The term “full coverage “ is a misnomer. When most people use the term it because they have liability and comp and collision. There’s several other coverages that are optional that most people skimp on. One man’s full coverage is certainly not another’s and the term is absolutely meaningless to us agents

So you have liability, comprehensive, and collision.

You don't have uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage, medpay, rental reimbursement, accidental death and dismemberment, etc.
