It seems reasonable to believe that whatever is happening now would be exponentially worse if nothing had been done.

Didn't Italy already stop treating the very elderly? And we freak out at the rising death toll?

The information is being handled terribly. And relayed terribly and the sheep and uneducated are reacting to it without thinking.
This is serious! There’s more cases everyday!!!!
No one mentions it’s because we just started testing everyone so of course numbers are rising.
...........
The mortality rate is huge!!!!!!
No one mentions it’s because we only test people with severe multiple symptoms over a certain age or with underlying conditions so of course a lot of them end up dieing
..............
The spread in China and Italy is out of control!!! It’s coming here next!!!!
No one mentions China and Italy have people packed into neighborhoods and even houses like sardines unlike the spread we have here.
Etc etc etc

It appears Michigan and Ohio State fans are on the same page on this.

That isn't what friends who had to go to hospitals there have told me. Hell, they had to be treated upon return for the just a step above leaches as treatment after return to the U.S.

Lockdown was never going to be an instant fix. Not there. Not here. It is not a sprint, more like a marathon. We gotta cool our jets and think longer term. As bad as it got in Italy, a week isn’t that long. Plus there are/were the chuckleheads who believe the lockdown/social distancing didn’t apply to them. Have you seen the beach pics of Miami and Clearwater, FL full of hormonal Spring Breakers from this week? Those people either still don’t get it, or else are stupid/don’t care.

holy shite . It was like 800 deaths 3-4 days ago
And now it's over 4000. Idk what these guys did early on. But they really fricked up.

The death toll from the Covid-19 outbreak in Italy has risen by 627 to 4,032, an increase of 18.4%.
Yesterday, Italy overtook China as the country to register most deaths from the highly contagious virus.
