Everytime you watch some scary movie or show it's always the mother and kids( ones who believe ) being freaked out, nothing ever happens to the non believing dad. It's all mental so just get it out of your head.
Mmmmk.

I don't believe in anything like this but I love reading about it.
I had a friend in high school who claimed his house was haunted and while I never saw any evidence two of my other friends claimed to, one of which I trust completely. They reported things like the tv coming on randomly, waking up to cabinet doors open and an instance of a woman who was visiting floating up off the couch until her feet were off the floor. Haha. Again, I don't believe it but they swore by it.

Because you only believe what you see on TV?

So are ghost real or not?
Posted on 5/3/11 at 6:22 pm to Jet12
Because people like you have yet to prove they exist..

I would really aporeciate it. I thought about prayers or nailing a piece of new wood above the door.
lol why not just move??
i didn't try prayers.....i'm pretty sure whatever was in my house wouldn't be scared away by words or a piece of wood. this was an extremely powerful force. now that you got me going into it i really don't even know or care to know if it was a ghost. there are things in this world we do not understand...maybe it was extra dimensional beings that can interact with our dimension.....maybe over lapping dimensions.....maybe my house was positioned in a spot where the laws of physics don't apply....maybe my water supply was tainted with drugs....maybe my neighbor played a 4 month long elaborate hoax...maybe my wife and i simultaneously lost our minds for exactly 4 months and had the exact same delusions....maybe it was a ghost....
all i know was that whatever it was was real....i saw it....felt it..and heard it right in front of me....many many times....
blah thanks now i will not be sleeping tonight lol

No such thing. I laugh at people that believe things can be "haunted."

Not to me but they obviously are to some. I believe its up to the individual.
When I was a teenager and younger we used to go to these places called Dracula's Grave, Cry Baby Bridge & Ghost Bridge and when I was a kid it would scare the frick out of me.
There was this one other place on the Franklin-Lawrence County line called Henry's Hill. Supposedly a guy ran out of gas one night was was pushing his truck when another car hit him and killed him and left the scene. Well if you went there and out your car in Neutral it would roll up the incline. The incline was slight but it was definitely an incline. Now I did this in a 5 speed where I knew it was in neutral and also an automatic and you would roll uphill. I don't know how that worked and how anyone found this one spot where a car would roll uphill. To this day, 20 years later, I still wonder exactly wtf was up with that spot.

i've heard this ghost story in may different forms. it's a proven myth.
it comes from a spot that because of the landscape (almost an optical illusion) it looks like it slopes uphill but it is actually downhill......very slightly.....
gravity hill
"A gravity hill, also known as a magnetic hill (and sometimes a mystery hill or a gravity road), is a place where the layout of the surrounding land produces the optical illusion that a very slight downhill slope appears to be an uphill slope. Thus, a car left out of gear will appear to be rolling uphill due to gravity.[1]

I figured it was some type of illusion or geographical anomaly but how in the hell does someone find this one spot to begin with. That's the thing that always bugged me about it. Out of the miles and miles of county roads in NW AL how does someone find this one stretch of road a tenth of a mile long?
