I really did almost say that, but I feel like every legitimate government would have to do the same thing.

Fighting cancer pays the bills

and the cure for hep c is tens of thousands of dollars.
cures don't have to be cheap.

It probably sucks to be any mouse, from a human's perspective.
Hell, I took pics and celebrated when I found the mouse in my garage with his head snapped in a trap a few weeks ago.

Pharmaceuticals would make a fortune on a vaccine.

I hope this is true, and it will be relatively inexpensive and available to everyone, but I have this fear that John McCain will have it seized, use it on himself and destroy the formula when he's done.

How is there not a massive potential market for a cancer vaccine?
The cash cow is treatment not prevention.

The boosters successfully treated 87 of the 90 mice with the first round of injections. The cancer recurred in three of the mice, but a second round of injections removed their tumors, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
Wow. Hopefully Trump will help move this thing along. Never thought I’d live long enough to see this kind of progress.

Tons of companies do treatment. If you develop something for prevention or a cure, it's yours alone for a long time.
The idea that a company would suppress the development of a preventative cancer drug is tin foil stuff as far as I'm concerned.

Yup. Far too much money in treatment. FDA won’t allow this to see the light of day.

Big pharma and the medical cancer sector will not allow this to happen
Yep.
Nobody is going to pay a penny for something like this.

Whoa! One of my friends was working on a project like that. She wasn't in Palo Alto but she likely contributed to the overall effort.

Where do you go to find 90 mice who were smokers?
Posted on 2/6/18 at 8:43 pm to ell_13
I wonder what the cure for cancer treatment will cost patients when they finally find the cure
