I’m not sure if having your average officer firing shots during a high speed chase would be a good idea.
But I agree with others, criminals that do this shite should get much harsher sentences.

The driver will probably be charged as an adult , there were others inside the vehicle (some juveniles by law ) , I’m not sure what will happen to them because I don’t have all the details of their involvement.

Just being blunt this is as silly as people wanting cops to shoot suspects in the arm when they raise a weapon, even more silly given the difficulty of the shot. They could spray and pray with something like a SAW but the risk of collateral damage goes up exponentially.
