Dude that was awesome!! They railed his arse then pretty much called him a liar and hung up on him ?

Did I hear some North Korean type commie fanfare music that they play when the "dear leader" enters the room?

They played it during Mike Cooper's introduction on the show and he actually took it as a COMPLIMENT

That shite was hilarious

I emailed the advocate this document and asked them to cover it.

Honestly someone should send this to Tucker. He would cover this and national scrutiny would be good

Someone with Twitter and Facebook needs to share with Mark Levin, Ben Shapiro, Buck Sexton, etc…

President Michael Cooper stated “We are not taking control of any property or belongings. This language, that was included in every emergency Executive Order, is designed to protect citizens during an emergency when the resources are otherwise not available. I want our citizens to rest assured that we are not assuming control over any private properties with regard to COVID-19.” This announcement comes following a dust up after a group of anti-mask activists took to social media to incorrectly claim an emergency COVID order could give powers to the President of Parish to seize property.

Apparently the confusion came as partial screenshots of the statewide order leading to the misunderstanding.

WWL

There are already articles surfacing insinuating we can’t read or reason. If the language means nothing in regard to the pandemic, why is the language attached to the pandemic emergency orders?

Maybe that kind of language has been in executive orders for awhile, but that’s not the point.

he said something like this has been a thing since 93 and they used it during katrina to take over a closed radio station.

okay, then that means you can manufacture any crisis and use the power to frick people over.

Exactly. If they think they can copy pasta this bullshite language into every order they are making, why on earth wouldn’t we assume that it would be applicable to those “orders?”

Why should we believe this government when they promise to not abuse powers which they are giving themselves at their discretion?

I don’t care how long the language has been there, we need to make them remove it!

After watching their school board meeting last night and then seeing this from the parish president, talk about the elected officials in the parish not listening to their constituents

This clarification was spun as an effective rebuke to alarmists. "That statute states, in part, that when a parish president declares a local disaster or emergency, he may, 'subject to any applicable requirements for compensation, commandeer or utilize any private property if he finds this necessary to cope with the local disaster.'”

Would anyone in the media be willing to sign a document like this if Mike Cooper was their landlord and he had authority to declare the apartment complex in an emergency?

The government has used Covid to expand the event horizon of a disaster. The giddying effect their successful power grab has on them was underlined by Mike Cooper's W&J appearance.

Yet the mainstream media belittles anyone who questions this.

Sadvocate Headline could read: St. Tammany White supremacists nitpick about Constitution instead of sending in much-needed tax dollars.

I have family in Folsom and any attempt to "assume total control" of their private property will be met with deadly force. They'd die on that hill. Bank on it.

Very well said. We can’t let this go. Keep the pressure up to have this language removed from emergency declarations.

In the context of the pandemic this language could absolutely be used to forcibly stop your gatherings, close your businesses, and arrest you for noncompliance with their orders. Believing the government won’t use all the power they’ve handed themselves just because they say to “trust them” is foolish.

His exec asst sent me that clarification basically saying “we arent coming to take your home today” “you cant read good” “if we need a boat we can do that”

I replied that it clearly says they CAN take private property. I also said if they arent going to do that then why put the statement in the order. Also I said it sets a terrible precedent for future admins. If its already law then what power trip are you on to remind us of it? It would be like a cop walking the beat telling a law abiding citizen, you know I can arrest you if you do certain things?!

Vote this guy out with me STP!
