Yet another reason fiber > copper.

Almost all underground.

Charter fiber optic line was severely damaged. They have no time table for restoration. I’ll be going back to direct tv and att internet this week bc my 3 year old cannot understand how lucky we are to just have power and we need internet for my wife to work from home.

Bedico market said 3 weeks until they are restored.

We just got power today, so I guess we'll be switching to att fiber.

Wonder how far out a att new customer install is? Lol.

This would be incredibly helpful news if it included any semblance of location.

Madisonville but he made it sound like it was affecting all outages in St Tammany and Tangipahoa. Didn’t know any other parts of LA had charter. My bad

Look into the directtv stream (formerly att now) we love it. Brother in BR gets NOLA channels, I am currently logged in, in another state and can watch the local news.

Anyone know the status of Spectrum in the Madisonville area?

I talked to them yesterday and what it boiled down to is they don’t have a clue when it will be back in the area.

Still no internet in north covington. Wife works from home and needs internet (or has to use PTO) so we've been at the camp since last Tuesday. darn.

Ya, I have no idea which way spectrum runs. We are in tangi, but the power comes from madisonville. I dont know if the cable follows that same route, but some news is good right? Hope you get it soon.

Which provider do you have? I just got power back yesterday SE of 59/1088 intersection and tried for 3 hours to get any info from AT&T about estimated time for internet restoration in my area. I had 5 different fricking people tell me to unplug my router for 15 minutes and then check status, including the guys in the actual AT&T store, before only ONE person understood that they needed to completely rewire my neighborhood since every line was down in the 25 sq. blocks around me. They couldn't even give me any idea of a timeline and I haven't seen any AT&T trucks since the storm

Anyone in my area have any idea how to get them to expedite service restoration? I am considering adding on a home phone line just to get a tech out to my house in hopes that they will see that they need to fix their infrastructure in my area.

Saw Spectrum trucks on 59 by Abita yesterday. We just got power back an hour ago due to downed poles (close to 59/1088).
