Traffic, but it also just looks a bit run down. It's not dangerous or anything, it's just not as desirable as the other places you could live if you choose the northshore area.

how is Northshore HS nowadays

On average, cranks out more National Merit semi-finalists/finalists than just about any other non-magnet La. public high school.

Why, don't love your kids enough? Can't make payments on the F150 Platinum and pay for private school?

It's mile or less.

William Pitcher

William Pitcher was built basically on the site of the old Covington High, which burned in 1969 or 1970 or around then.

When they opened the new Mandeville High (1979?1980?), a couple of Saint Paul students spray painted some insults on the school on the night before it opened. They were expelled and had to go to some weird private school by Hammond because I think they lived in the MHS district.

Someone spray painted “If God have the world an enema, this is where he’d stick the hose” on the new Covington High but I don’t remember if they caught the perps.

What’s more important than your kid’s education / future? A new car? Eating out?

You can get the same education except your kid can also learn how to interact with the opposite sex. Just keep your kid in honors/gifted. Anyone who pays for private is getting scammed in mandeville.

it's not about eduction... it's peer groups.

SPS peer group >>> Mandeville/Covington public school peer group

LOL. Nobody gives a frick if you went to SPS when you go to get a job out of college.

The same peer groups exist at mandeville high. Covington should not be looped in with Mandeville, they are the bottom of the totem pole.

Just because there’s a small percentage of the group you are talking about hanging out by the stage by themselves, doesn’t mean the elite peer groups don’t exist at mandeville. Silly argument to post those metrics and automatically assume that small subset affects the rest.

Even the graffiti is better on the northshore.

I remember when St. Tammany public schools were considered good. There's a reason St. Paul's, SSA and Christ Episcopal are so popular.

No it’s really not? Not sure what you are talking about. It’s clear to me that you have no idea what low class is.
