This reeks of a kid trolling or trying to get attention. I sincerely hope there are not kids that genuinely dumb in a private catholic school. Good lord.

I don't know why y'all are shitting on me, I'm just here to defend my HS. To think that I agree with what she said is hilarious, but she has a right to say what she wants to say. That being good or bad, you have to respect what she thinks. I do it daily with BLM and other groups trying to rip apart Baton Rouge.

her parents being racist as well is the most likely of scenarios.

While I do agree with this....I won't dismiss the notion that BLM and other violent protests have helped the situation.

I can remember coming up dealing with people that thought this way (most in fact in a podunk hole I came from) but I could always see the greater good from all people. I think that the young people today are somewhat victims of the fact that he greater good of the black race isn't what is being focused on at all today. They would prefer that I get the BLM stuff, the Alton Sterling stuff, etc....not the Ben Carson stuff or the George Washington Carver stuff.

There are kids that think that way in all corners of this country.....society has done a good job of keeping them at bay to this point. Technology has made that so much harder....we'll see what happens from here on out.

Forget the media, what she wrote is wrong and absolutely stupid.

There are plenty of dumbasses that think that way, but it takes a dense person to write that for a fricking school paper and turn it in

Bishop is lucky that the absurd racist content of the paper is distracting everyone from the fact that a kid at Bishop writes that poorly. Assuming the writer went to another Catholic school before Bishop, the Diocese should be ashamed too.

why should we care about an essay written by an under educated and ignorant teen aged girl?

I bet you'd care if a black girl wrote something like this against white people and the media got a hold of it. it would not be a story Bull shite. No way you can truly believe that.

I believe it. News agencies don't want themselves being tagged with even a hint of racism. I also believe that this wouldn't have been a story if it could have remotely been contained. The archdiocese has some stroke here in Louisiana when dealing with the press. News agencies tread lightly on issues like this in my experience. I obviously don't agree with the girl's views. As for her grammar, it seems to have become problematic with many kids that text with any regularity. As for the essay, social media can put stuff like her letter (or Gary Chambers stuff) on hyperdrive. Had it not blown up. it could be a learning experience for all involved IMO. The school could require her to assist some elderly folks that just so happen to be black as part of her school service hours. Maybe she will be less inclined to feel like she does if a black face reminded her of a positive relationship instead of a bad experience.

Because everything is race related nowadays. I had a kid in my class instantly blame race for a random scenario I pulled up on google. Some of it's what they're taught at home, the other bit is what they see online. If you're black you aren't treated equal, if you're white you're the devil. shite happens. Our country is so diverse that the words of an undereducated girl may start a fricking riot. Sad times

I guess I'm just a trend breaker on the "white trash, poor, LP, racist POS" stigma around SMHS

There wasn't any "White Trash" at my school

I know this has been addressed in the previous 11 pages, but I couldn't even read the whole letter it was written so poorly.

She'd be better off if she stopped seeing the color altogether. She hinted in the paper that she also had issues with hispanics. She's a white supremacist, and she believes God intended it to be that way because the apostles and Jesus were white.

For anyone who wants to know, her parents didn't know she had written the paper. She sent it to a friend before she showed her parents and her friend sent it out. Her parents were absolutely against her writing turning in that paper but by that time it was too late.

So there you go, you can stop bashing her family.

Also the reason you or anyone goes to St. Michael is because they couldn't get into any of the more prominent ones. Just FYI.

And nah baw I didn't go to LSU
