so you think that resisting arrest should be ok?

I think "resisting arrest" is often a bullshite charge. If the police give me an order which is not based in law and I do not obey it, I'm not resisting or obstructing or interfering.

And I say you or I shouldn't have to live like that.

i agree. in an ideal world we won't have to

but reality is reality, and you can't really do much to help things by dying

again, this is why the fact that this issue has been clouded by racism or classism is terrible

this should be about one thing and one thing only: the police state

i don't like it, but you better accept it until we change the real problem (the police state)

My point, my friend. It's time to change the real problem. The police state as you call it.

The Ferguson Police Chief has told local news that there is no footage of actual incident between officer and #MikeBrown.

That they know of.

Exactly, but they way things work, if an officer detains/arrests you, you let him, then you fight it in the courts, not on the streets.

Now that is one well thought out statement, demonstrating the profound intellect that is now running our society. I am speechless...

I agree. But I can hire a lawyer, bond out and work in the system because I have some means. People without means have their lives destroyed by idiots masquerading as agents of justice.

You don't have a real response because it's a perfectly rational statement.

He was fleeing officers...beating was deserved if you ask me. Doesn't matter if he was white or black either. Did the fricker fleeing give a shite about innocent people he could have hit or killed during the chase? frick people like that
You sound mad guy. Chill out just stating something that happened. The point was that Cops will and do sometimes take shite way to far and when people see them they start acting like professionals and instead of like a bunch of TPOS. Sound to me like your'e cherry picking through my last post and zeroing in on the black cop I mentioned.

i guess you have missed the point many of us have tried to make over the last few pages. This is the exact reason you comply when officers tell you to do something...so you won't become a statistic.

I will never run from the police because i know all but one of the consequences is going to be bad for me...

Getting away will likely only be a temporary positive.

Getting shot, beaten, adding additional charges, killing/injuring an innocent person are just some of the bad things that can happen. Say what you want but I have no sympathy for people that elude police with high speed chases.

I checked my fb for the first time in weeks today and smiled that I had no posts about this on my newsfeed. Mass unfreindings have finally paid off

Anyone got more info on this situation than what's in the OP?

Did the kid rob a store? Was he fleeing? Hit the cop?

I just don't believe the cop said not to move and he unloaded his weapon.

I bet many wouldn't. But in a material society like ours, we have a hard time comprehending idealism and absolutes.
