That's why I said whether she deserved it or not. Bottom line is, even if she deserved it the locals won't view it as that and it has the potential to fuel the flames even more. Me personally...I have no idea. For all I know the gal brandished a weapon. Certainly can't tell from the video.

He shouldn't have been in that situation to be fine with.

Why walk in the middle of the street then not get on the sidewalk when told or asked by police? Get off the street.

He created a situation by showing a refusal to follow SIMPLE rules of life that we all have to go by.

Get out if the road and into the side walk. He's a grown adult and shouldn't have to be told to get out of the street. Is he mentally retarded, trolling or just refusing to conform to society?

Running that mouth off to a cop again is provoking a situation and so is refusing to follow the orders of the police officer. More rebellious behavior asking for trouble.

So based on the eyewitness report, you fell the officer's response was completely justified?

So in other words yet another person who thinks no rules apply to him?

Start trouble then act surprised when it's found.

"Look at me I'm being harrased."

He created the situation and his own trouble.

A person will always have enough trouble in life it's absolutely stupid to go looking for it.

I hope those cops shoot those damn kids in my street all day! Lawbreakers!

I am not saying he isn't an idiot but that doesn't excuse the officers actions.

Berg, does anyone know what really happened in the events that led up to the shooting?

You can't be this stupid. This isn't like a major road. Hell, my own kids walk in the street, run in the street, ride their bike in the street, throw the ball in the street, shoot hoops in the street, all on a street similar to this one. You come across as hell bent to find in favor of one side no matter how ridiculous it sounds.

I would certainly advise people to tell the cop to frick off in a more polite way, but they're there to enforce the laws, not tell me how to live my life if I'm not breaking the law.

I don't know that I agree with your premise in the first place but when the frick did walking in the street equate to a death sentence?

they asked him if Brown assaulted the police officer and he said "not initally" then ended up saying he didn't do it at all.

I would take what everyone says with a grain of salt, including the cops. They all have their own self interests to look out for. The thing to do is find where the most commonality exists. Time will only tell but I'm gonna bet that independent eye witness accounts are going to more closely mirror this kids version than the cops version of this kid trying to push his way into the cop car and take his gun from him.

I think all we really know is an unarmed kid was killed. I suppose we will never know.

Are there sidewalks on that street? I am guessing it is against the law to walk on the street. It is unsafe for starters.

I am reserving judgement until I hear the police's side of story.

You don't think the witness is biased?

If a cop threatens to shoot me he won't have to tell me twice. I am going to suck up my pride and say yes officer...according to the witness he was warned twice. No that doesn't justify the shooting but what it does tell me is the victim must have been resisting.

Basically, the police gave the story that he assaulted the officer and tried to steal his weapon at some point in the drivers seat of the cop car and the officer shot him. The family and friends give the story that he was on his knees with his hands up, or that he was walking away with his hands up and was shot 6-10 times.

Would those witnesses be the same race as the one who was killed?

If so, not sure you get the unvarnished truth from them.
