From early on they are taught that police are bad. So naturally they believe they are being messed with for being black.

Supposedly "Solid Proof" that Brown went for Wilson's gun...
The only thing I can think that would make it solid would be DNA/Fingerprints on it
Also, problem with this account as it contradicts the Friends and Chiefs account that the second interaction was about the robbery.

The source claims that there is "solid proof" that there was a struggle between Brown and Wilson for the policeman’s firearm, resulting in the gun going off – although it still remains unclear at this stage who pulled the trigger. Brown started to walk away according to the account, prompting Wilson to draw his gun and order him to freeze. Brown, the source said, raised his hands in the air, and turned around saying, "What, you're going to shoot me?"
At that point, the source told FoxNews.com, the 6 foot, 4 inch, 292-pound Brown charged Wilson, prompting the officer to fire at least six shots at him, including the fatal bullet that penetrated the top of Brown's skull, according to an independent autopsy conducted at the request of Brown's family.

I would say pics of the cops face shown asap after the incident may have kept things from escalating.

The video isn't even that close up... And he wouldn't be bleeding unless he was gashed or broke his nose, neither of which are reported. Also, he wouldn't necessarily bruise immediately after.
No reason to speculate on that. The pics and hospital report will come out soon enough and put it to rest.

If the officer is acquitted and it turns out that Brown not only robbed the store, but also beat up the cop before being shot, then any message that the protesters were trying to make will be greatly lost and many whites will see this as a "boy crying wolf" situation. What a messed up situation...

End in the end no one wins and town is messed up over something that did not get facts out first.. Before protesting etc. No true winners in this whole thing.
