Y'all got to be getting sick of this story.
Just a bit. My anger about it all shifts on a daily basis. Today...I am absolutely pissed that there are so many people from outside of not just Ferguson but outside of STL and they appear to be the ones perpetuating things the most right now. You have no idea how bad I want to knock that scrawny white dude with glasses and a microphone right the frick out.

I'll go try to find a stat because I don't know. But I worked for a surgeon and he served on numerous medical review panels and only said the doctor was guilty one time

Incorrect. There may not be any immediate consequences. But because the doctor has to handle his own liability insurance, his own mistakes are eventually borne by him financially in his insurance premiums. With public servants, those costs are shifted back to the public. It increases a lack of accountability because they don't bear the financial burden even when they're judged to be liable.
So the cost of the doctors mistakes are passed on the public to cover his insurance premiums? They just take a loss right? Again your comparison sucks. I'm still waiting for a similar case to this one BTW to show why it is the FPD's fault the protest are going the way they are. Try to keep up.

Does cnn order these hosts to make Wilson look as bad as possible and to contradict their guests if they say anything claiming Wilson might have been justified?
Yes. There is a director.

Maybe so but since I don't have personal experience with dirty cops its hard not to trust them.
Unfortunately, I used to call some friends. Guess they still are but I just don't talk to them anymore. And yes, they're in north county. No, not Ferguson.
ETA - But I'm friends with many more that are good.

If there was no elasticity of demand and/or a monopolistic supply, you'd have a great point. Keep swinging, buddy. You're looking great.

Given the current debate on this thread, I assume it is a slow news day? Been away this AM.

Yeah, we're just beating the same dead horse for the 678th time.
ETA - Sorry. Make that 691st time.

Which they did and started protesting too soon. See the shite storm it blossomed into? Any subsequent mistakes only added a little fuel to the flames.

I love how these former police chiefs of cities with millions of citizens and vast resources are commenting on a police force with a population around 20k with very little resources and very little tax revenue.

CNN is now running "the other side of the story", you know, from the racist point of view and support for the racist cop

I got no problem with them holding vigils, marching, protesting, demanding answers, making sure that things aren't just swept under the rug. If you wait until after it's swept under the rug, all the protesting in the world likely won't bring justice. What I have a problem with is the violence. All of the other things can be done in a peaceful manner without the violence. The net result could end up being the cop being exonerated and I still don't have a problem with people voicing their concerns or distrust or anger, even if I disagree with them, as long as it's peaceful.

Please explian your point, if you can actually explain it without simple belittling someone who has plenty education/experience in the medical and business field/ownership. Because last time I checked that doesn't effect the Dr's passing on the bill. As a matter of fact I've studied specifics for individuals out of pocket cost of healthcare over the last 30 yrs and where it comes from. But what do I know, I just stay on point.

Sad thing is the community leaders continue with the thought that they should protest...how many nights before they realize they can't have a peaceful protest?
I just don't see how some think any of this will have a positive impact on the "cause"

If you know Kelly's position on police rights, or even just read the first few paragraphs of the article, you will quickly see his stance on police tactics. The way he treated citizens in NY doesn't exactly line up with bass's previous post about how police should act.
